You would be surprised by the whole of sublime personalities who retain Ufo research. You would be even more surprised by the select whole who have claimed to have seen a Ufo, or had another encounter with extraterrestrials.
Dan Akroyd, of Ghostbusters fame, is a supporter of Ufo research, and takes a major interest in cases. However, to date of this research, he doesn't claim to have had any encounter, though it may just be unreported.

Supposedly, William Shatner, Captain Kirk himself, had an encounter with Ufos in the Mojave desert when he was driving his motorcycle. His album, the Transformed Man, is supposedly filled with themes and lyrics that reflect this. If this is the truth though, he doesn't publicly discuss the matter, which is unfortunate for us.
President Jimmy Carter had a Ufo caress near Stone Mountain, Georgia. He claimed to have seen lights in the sky near the mountain, and even made as one of his campaign promises when running for election, that he would reveal all governmental facts about Ufos. However, upon election, no new secrets about Ufos or abduction phenomenon were forthcoming. Some have stated that maybe even the Presidents are kept ignorant on the topic.
President Ronald Reagan also claimed to have a Ufo caress while aboard a government plane when he was governor of California. He became intrigued by Ufo research, and even one time, mentioned in the Un that the Us and Ussr might have to ally together against an extraterrestrial threat. de facto he didn't keep his views on the matter private.
